Our attorneys have experience working a wide range of cases. Whether you are injured in a car accident, are charged with a crime, are going through a divorce or another family law issue or need help putting together a will, our team will represent you.
We are experienced trial lawyers, and are not afraid to take your case to a trial. We also know when a settlement is in your best interest. No matter the situation, we work to get you the best possible result.
Whittelsey & Corley, P.C., is deeply rooted in the Opelika community, and our attorneys have equally deep legal experience.
A Staple In The Community
The Whittelsey family has been practicing law in Lee County for just under 100 years. We take pride in being part of the community and having built our law firm in Opelika over the years.
C.S. Whittelsey, II, started our firm in 1918 after returning from World War I. His son, C.S. “Whit” Whittelsey, III, continued the family tradition by taking over the firm in 1958. Two years later, we opened offices in our current location inside a building on the same site the Whittelseys resided in dating back to the 1800s.
In 1990, Whit and his son Davis Whittelsey partnered to form Whittelsey & Corley, P.C. Since then, we have grown to add two more attorneys, Robert G. Poole and Jonathan K. Corley, to become Whittelsey & Corley, P.C.
